Jalen Ramsey Admits to Sending DMs to His Opponents' Girlfriends Before Games in College

That all changed once he made it to the NFL for obvious reasons.

Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey has only been in the NFL for three seasons, but he has already developed a reputation for being the best trash talkers in the game today. While it appeared that Ramsey was operating at his peak trash talk powers in his August 2018 GQinterview where he picked apart nearly every starting quarterback, he admits to being "super grimey" while he was in college playing football at Florida State.

During his appearance on the Bussin' With the Boys podcast with Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Taylor Lewan and NFL linebacker Will Compton, Ramsey revealed that his "super grimey" behavior was sliding into the DMs of an opposing wide receiver's girlfriend before their game.

"Say I was playing a big receiver at whatever school, I would look up his Instagram, see his girlfriend whatever, boom, boom, boom," Ramsey said at the 9:20 mark below. "I'd probably go slide in her DMs."

On top of the fact that the receiver he was defending on the field was probably aware of the DM, Ramsey says he would also pick up a psychological edge over them by mentioning their girlfriend on a first-name basis because, according to the two-time Pro Bowler, "people get hot about that."

Ramsey says that, contrary to the perception that people have of him, he has shown some growth by avoiding those same tactics when he came into the league. "I'll say when I got to the league, though, I stopped that 'cause now people got wives and stuff," he said. "Somebody get shot over talking about somebody's wives."
