Last week, Germany received the World Cup trophy after defeating Argentina, 1-0, and according to German Football Association president Wolfgang Niersbach, their piece of hardware has already been damaged. The German newspaper Die Welt reveals that a part of the trophy has been chipped off, but no one knows who the culprit is at the moment. Currently, an investigation is underway to determine the guilty party. Luckily, the one that was damaged was only a replica, leaving the real trophy "estimated to be worth over 10 million euros" unharmed.
