Take a trip down memory lane as we share a crazy moment at the podium, an amazing posterization, an absolute on-court fail or a memorable shooting performance from the postseason of the National Basketball Association in This Day in NBA Playoffs History.

Prior to Game 5 of the 2004 Eastern Conference Semis against the Detroit Pistons, Brian Scalabrine played sporadically, amassing a grand total of 13 points in the entire postseason. However, on that Friday night with a number of Nets players in foul trouble, the team called upon Scalabrine and what came next was the stuff of legends. Off the bench, Scal helped lead New Jersey to a 127-120 win in triple overtime by scoring 17 points on 6/7 shooting from the field and going 4/4 from three-point range. With that incredible performance, The White Mamba was born.
