A woman staying through the evening and into the next afternoon sounds too much like commitment to Kevin Durant.
The Houston Rockets power forward talked dating and relationships with Bobbi Althoff on the October 30 episode of her podcast Not This Again. Around the 47-minute mark of the episode below, Durant shared that he once considered marriage but currently isn't "looking for anything."
"No expectations is a little better for me, 'cause sometimes I might not want to talk to you or see you," Durant told Althoff.
The athlete went on to reveal that he's lived with a woman before and that it was "a good time," but they needed to go their "separate ways."
"But living together, that's a big commitment. Like, really combining your life
with somebody on the day-to-day is crazy," he explained. "Especially when you lived your whole life by yourself and then now you're living with somebody."
Durant went on to advise women to "come over once or twice a week and maybe leave something, but go home in the morning."
"It's almost like checkout. After breakfast, you gotta dip," he continued. "'Cause it's like now get too comfortable. Like, we're not there yet, but once we get there though you can stay past 2, until at least 4 [p.m.]"
When Althoff suggested that 4 p.m. was "late checkout," Durant agreed, calling it the "next level."
"If you stay and you do your thing and you make sure my shit is right, then you get to stay longer," he said.
Other athletes, like former NBA star Gilbert Arenas, wouldn't advise that a woman stay anywhere close to the early morning, as he told N3on in a recent stream. Arenas told the streamer to kick a woman out of his crib by 11 p.m. and claim he has "shit going on."
