Remember the insane story last week about the guy who stole a Tesla Model S, got into a high-speed chase, and then split the damn thing in half in West Hollywood? The driver passed away, making him the first person to perish in a Tesla.
The reason this is significant is because the Model S has the highest safety rating ever. This thief’s death doesn’t really tarnish that safety record because he was driving in a unsafe manner that did not obide by the law. If this happened at, say, 50 mph it would say more about Tesla.
