Hockey coaches are the best.

After suffering a 7-2 loss against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds last night, the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League took their tenth straight L. And their head coach Paul Fixter was not happy about it.
Meeting with local reporters for a post-game presser, Fixter was testy and combative while speaking with the media. From the very beginning of the video above, Fixter is clearly frustrated and a tad inflammatory, noting that his squad "shit the bed" in the second.
It got better, or worse, depending on how you look at it.
Fixter criticized his team's work ethic throughout the interview, saying that they only played a good 20 minutes out of the full, 60 minute game. However, after another reporter asked Fixter whether he thought the Wolves worked hard, Fixter grew irritated about having to repeat himself.
“Did you work hard?” the reporter asked.
“F*** you!” said Fixter.
Hah! Doesn't really answer the question, does it? However, Fixter quickly issued an apology today.
I apologize for my use of profanity after last evening's loss to the Greyhounds. I could have chosen my words more carefully, however, I stand by my players, the organization and the fans of the Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club. The coaching staff is a passionate group and we feel the stress of losing. We are working diligently to strive to improve our record and make the fans of the Sudbury Wolves proud.
You can't really blame Fixter for losing his handle on this one. During a slump like this, patience can wear thin for those within the organization. Obviously, whether you're a player, a coach, or a fan, it's never fun to lose.
