Freddie Roach doesn't want anyone—and we do mean anyone—to know what Manny Pacquiao's strategy is going to be when he fights Floyd Mayweather on May 2. So while Pac has been spotted working on his conditioning with dozens of people in the park over the last week (just peep his Instagram for proof of that), Roach has limited the amount of access that people outside of the Pacquiao camp have received when it's come to his workouts in the ring. And recently, that led to Roach throwing Dave Chappelle out of the gym.
"I have a rule this time," he told reporters at the Mayweather/Pacquiao press conference yesterday. "If your body isn't doing anything, get the fuck out…I had to throw my good friend Dave Chappelle out…The strategy for the fight is very important…No spies, no people giving me opinions."
Fortunately, we doubt Chappelle minded. As Roach mentioned, he's good friends with the comedian. But this should give you a good idea of just how seriously Pacquiao and his trainer are taking the fight.
In other news, here's Chappelle giving his prediction for the Mayweather/Pacquiao matchup:
