Earlier this afternoon, the Cavaliers formally introduced their newest player Kevin Love to the city of Cleveland. And Love revealed why he wanted to come to the Cavs and be a part of the team. Specifically, he said it was because LeBron James took the time to call him just a few hours after James himself signed with the Cavs last month.
"LeBron signed to come back with the Cleveland Cavaliers and just a few hours post he called me," Love said today, "and I said, 'You know what? I'm in.' That had a lot to do with my decision."
It's not surprising to hear that LeBron was in touch with Love after he signed with the Cavs (though, it's worth noting that the NBA might be interested in seeing if any of their tampering rules were broken by LeBron). But it is surprising to hear that LeBron wasted absolutely no time in calling Love after making his decision. July 11 must have been a pretty crazy day for him, huh?
