Nets forward Cory Jefferson should probably stop trying to take three-point shots. Because every time he does, it seems like something goes terribly wrong.

Back in December, Jefferson attempted a three against the Bulls, and this happened:

Worst. Airball. Ever.

Or so we thought. Last night, he somehow managed to top that by taking—and airballing—an even worse shot. During a game against the Heat, he picked off a pass with about eight seconds remaining on the clock. But rather than passing the ball to a teammate and giving Brooklyn a chance to score before the end of the quarter, Jefferson caught a glimpse of the Heat's shot clock, which was about to expire. So he took the ball and did this with it:

It's not the first time someone has made this same mistake. Connecticut forward Roscoe Smith did it back in 2011 during a game against Texas, and his shot was actually way worse because it came at the end of a tie game:
