Alex Rodriguez is used to getting booed. He's been getting booed early and often by opposing fans for years now. So when a reporter approached him prior to the Yankees' game against the Tigers yesterday and asked him if he thinks he gets booed more on the road now, in light of the PED and steroid allegations that he's faced in recent seasons, he had the perfect response.
"I've been booed for 15 years, buddy," he said. "I don't know if you haven't been around. It's been one long boo for 15 years."
"One long boo for 15 years." That pretty much sums it up. Think about that the next time you decide to expend a lot of energy heckling A-Rod during a game, because it's probably not going to affect him too much.
