Kyle Kuzma and LeBron James

Kyle Kuzma's trainer Clint Parks has landed himself in hot water after he criticized LeBron James' Christmas day performance.

"Watching Kawhi [Leonard] highlights from yesterday," Parks wrote on his Instagram story. "NOBODY wants to speak on how sharp his skill set is compared to LeBron's. It's clear who's really in the lab and who isn't. Let me hear the excuses I'm on vacation I got nothing but time."

He further made it clear he wasn't a fan of how James performed when he and the Lakers were pitted against the Clippers in a second post. "Turn the film on somebody was dodging SMOKE yesterday and it wasn't Kawhi," he added over a picture of James and Leonard.

While his Instagram has been made private as of around midday ET on Friday, people were still quick to call him out in his comments just before then. Additionally, speculation has run rampant after Kuzma shared a since-deleted tweet in which he wrote, "Call a spade a spade." It's not clear if the tweet is connected at all, but it certainly doesn't help. Among many comments, Lakers fans told Parks that Kuzma would get traded if the inflammatory comments about LeBron kept coming.

The criticism Parks faced for throwing shade at LeBron wasn't exclusive to Instagram, however, as NBA Twitter piled on him, too.

Kyle Kuzma and his trainer weird for questioning a 34 year old Lebron’s work ethic like they’ve done something in this league yet

Kuzma toxic af. You gonna have your trainer diss your superstar player and then tweet some dumb shit? Nah, Waiters would never. https://t.co/pifRGRP6a3

I think Kyle Kuzma is a victim to poor timing, I don’t even think he knew his trainer was talking shit about Bron the moment he tweeted “call a spade a spade”

While the Christmas day game didn't go how Lakers fans wanted it to, the team still put in a solid performance with 106 points to the Clippers' 111. LeBron finished the game with 23 points, while Kuzma just edged him out with 25. Kawhi Leonard, however, scored 35 points for the Clippers.
