In an increasing effort to grow their global brand, the NBA has decided to add the @NBA Twitter handle to every official Spalding game ball starting in the 2014-15 season. This will make the NBA the first professional sports league to include their own social media account on its official game ball, and we wonder if other leagues will follow suit. You know Roger Goodell is already smacking himself in the head for not slapping @NFL on a football first. What’s next? Instagram accounts on the backs of officials? Don’t be shocked.
