Greg Monroe Reportedly Pissed Himself During a DUI Arrest
Pistons big man Greg Monroe reportedly pissed himself during a DUI arrest last February.

Last February, Detroit area police pulled over and subsequently arrested Pistons big man Greg Monroe for driving under the influence. This week, the NBA announced a two-game suspension for Monroe, which is why we’re only hearing about the event now.
According to the Huntington Woods police department, Monroe was pulled over on Feb. 13 for a busted headlight. Upon speaking to Monroe, the arresting officers decided there was reason to believe he had been drinking, and conducted a series of sobriety tests, which Monroe proceeded to fail. The police were pretty chill for the most part, as you can see from the recently released dashcam video, but a roadside breath test showed Monroe’s BAC to be .089, which is above the legal limit.
“I play for the Pistons,” Monroe told the officers. To which they replied, “Unless you told people that are going to tell people, we don’t tell people.”
Monroe would reportedly register BAC’s of .08 and .1, after he was taken into custody. According to that same police report, Monroe also “urinated on himself during the booking process.” Not exactly a night to remember for the former Hoya.
You can also hear one of the officers say, “I’d feel really bad if you went down the road and hit somebody and I didn’t do anything to stop it.”
In a statement recently released by the Pistons, Monroe sounded remorseful over the incident:
“I take full responsibility for my actions and made a regrettable mistake. I apologize to my family, the Pistons organization, my teammates and fans. I will learn from this and continue by work to be a positive influence in the community.”
