After months and weeks of speculation, Argentine star winger Angel Di Maria has officially completed his transfer from Real Madrid to Manchester United. The Red Devils, who finished 7th in the English Premier League last season and failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 1995-96 season, are already off to a concerning start after managing just one point from their first two matches. Now, new manager Louis Van Gaal and club ownership have clearly decided that no fee was too great to bring a player of Di Maria’s quality to the club. That fee, which is a club and British record, is £59.7m, or about $99 million dollars U.S. Talk about betting the bank. Di Maria scored 22 goals in 124 appearances for Real Madrid from 2010-2014, but will the Argentine international be able to lead United back to glory?
