Dreamville and TDE could be the next hip-hop crews to go head-to-head in a future Verzuz.

During a recent interview with DJ Carisma on Power 106, Bas was asked who he’d want his Dreamville collective to face off with in the Swizz Beatz-Timbaland battle series.

“Five to ten years from now, if Dreamville were to do a Verzuz, who do you think would be a worthy competitor?” Carisma asked.

“It’s gotta be TDE, right?” Bas responded. “That’s family, but it be good competition, for sure.”

While the 34-year-old rapper is all in for the potential matchup, he reminded fans that nothing has been scheduled yet between J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar’s respective crews. “We gotta solidify everything,” he added.

It wouldn’t be the first time a pair of hip-hop/r&b groups went toe-to-toe on the Verzuz stage.

Earlier this year, we saw a pair of battles between legendary collectives: the Isley Brothers went hit-for-hit with Earth, Wind & Fire in March, while SWV and Xscape matched up in May.

Most recently, The LOX  and Dipset went head-to-head in the latest edition of Verzuz earlier this month, with the Bad Boy-turned-Ruff Ryders crew going hit-for-hit with Harlem’s Diplomats at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York City.

MRC Data reports The LOX tallied 3.4 million U.S. on-demand streams of their music in the week ending Aug. 5; that’s about a 215 percent increase from the previous week. Their most successful date was Aug. 4, which saw 1.4 million on-demand streams of their records, which surpassed their total music streams throughout the entire week before
