It might not seem obvious, since he's still a trending topic in hip-hop—see Drake, Griselda, and 2 Chainz. But last September, Virgil Abloh told Vogue he would be taking a three month medical hiatus to work from home and cancelled all public appearances for marketing events, including his Off-White women's show in Paris that took place without him this past September.
But he's back and was in seemingly good spirits backstage at his Off-White Men's Fall 2020 show, which happened earlier today during Paris Fashion Week at the Le Carrousel du Louvre, not too far from the Louvre Museum—that space Beyonce and Jay Z took over a couple years ago for "Apeshit."
Off-White continues to move in a more tailored direction. Backstage you could see models wearing suits with circular cutouts, collared shirts with ruching details, wide pleated pants and knits that seemed to replace the graphic T-shirt and hoodie. But he's still tied to his roots. Westside Gunn showed up to take pictures, and scattered about the room was a never-before-seen Off White x Air Jordan 5 collab. See below for more backstage shots.
