DeMarcus Cousins reportedly told his ex-girlfriend that he’d put a “bullet in [her] fucking head” if she didn’t allow their son to come to Cousins’ wedding—and the woman claims she recorded him saying it.
Cousins’ ex, Christy West, has alleged that the NBA player threatened her on Aug. 23, the day before Cousins' wedding to his fiancée in Atlanta, according to TMZ Sports.
West reportedly recorded the threatening phone call and has claimed that court officials have heard the audio. She's also claimed that she made the recording while her and their 7-year-old son were at a trampoline park in Alabama—and has insisted it’s Cousins’ voice.
“I'm gonna ask you this one more time before I take it to another level,” the man says in the audio, “Can I have my son here, please?” The man then makes the purported threat after West responds, “No.” He says, “I'm gonna make sure I put a bullet in your f**king head.” The audio then cuts off.

West has also filed for a restraining order in Alabama against Cousins, alleging he told her he was going to kill her, “even if he didn't have to get his hands dirty doing it.”
In court documents, West asserted that Cousins has choked her before, but didn’t go into detail. She doesn’t want Cousins near her and their son, though she said she’s open to Cousins having supervised visitation.
West also went to the Mobile Police Department in Alabama and filed a report with the cops. A police spokesperson told TMZ that an investigation has been opened into the allegations.
Cousins’ wedding took place on Saturday, without his son in attendance.
According to reporter Ohm Youngmisuk, the Lakers have released a statement in response to the audio that has surfaced. "We are aware of the allegation involving DeMarcus Cousins and, of course, take this claim seriously. We are in the process of gathering information and will reserve further comment at this time."
