Kylian Mbappé just put the world's biggest clubs on alert, by hinting that he could be ready to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
The 20-year-old forward is finishing up his second season at the French champions and it's been another stand out season from the young player, scoring 32 goals in just 28 league games. His killer form was rewarded this weekend – winning the French Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards – and picking up his prizes, Mbappé dropped a huge line in his acceptance speech that could indicate he's ready to take his skills elsewhere:
"It’s a very important moment for me, I come to a turning point in my career. I have discovered a lot here, and I feel it is maybe the moment to have more responsibility. I hope that can perhaps be at Paris Saint-Germain, that would be a great pleasure. Or maybe elsewhere with a new project.”
The prospect of Mbappé wanting a "new project" will no doubt cause excitement in board rooms across Europe, with the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City already reported to have an interest in the golden boy of French football.
The future is in Kylian Mbappé's hands.
