Ohio State linebacker Nick Bosa, who previously made headlines for criticizing Beyoncé, Black Panther, and Colin Kaepernick in since-deleted tweets, was drafted No. 2 overall by the San Francisco 49ers. Bosa was selected by the San Francisco 49ers. In 2016, Bosa called Kaepernick a "clown" for his protest against social inequality, and now he's received an official endorsement from Donald Trump.

"Congratulations to Nick Bosa on being picked number two in the NFL Draft," President Trump tweeted. "You will be a great player for years to come, maybe one of the best. Big Talent! San Francisco will embrace you but most importantly, always true to yourself. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" Unsurprisingly, he did not congratulate No. 1 pick Kyler Murray, who went to the Arizona Cardinals.

A noted Trump supporter, Bosa scaled back his online presence when he started shaping up to be the NFL draft's best prospect. "I had to," he explained to ESPN earlier this month. "There is a chance I might end up in San Francisco." Ultimately he didn't go No. 1 overall, but he did end up where he expected to.

Bosa recently apologized for his comments in a press conference, stating, "I'm sorry if I hurt anybody. I definitely didn't intend for that to be the case." He was also spotted liking homophobic and racist Instagram posts. "I think me being here (San Francisco) is even better for me as a person, because I don't think there's anywhere, any city, that you could really be in that would help you grow as much as this one will. I'm going to be surrounded with people of all different kinds, so I'm going to grow as a person."
