Mike Bibby is under investigation following sexual abuse and harassment allegations from a female teacher at Shadow Mountain High School, the same institution where he serves as the head basketball coach, The Arizona Republic reports.

The accusation stems from a February 2017 incident where the teacher claims Bibby grabbed her by the waist, pulled her into his car while on school grounds, and proceeded to rub his genitals against her and grope her.

"I can say with pretty much certainty this alleged incident didn't happen and that will be shown down the road," Bibby's attorney Donald Harris said in response to the allegations. "Michael Bibby did not participate in a sexual assault of any way, shape or form that was alleged by this lady two years ago."

Earlier this month, the woman filed a request for a restraining order against Bibby, which was granted by the Phoenix Municipal Court on Feb. 22. The order delves into great detail regarding what happened that day. She alleges that the former NBA player, who she "did not know him personally," gestured her over after spotting him as he drove onto campus.

She allegedly walked over to the driver's side of his car after Bibby swung open the door and jumped out. Bibby grabbed her "around the hips," picked her up, carried her into the driver's seat, and laid on top of her. She claims that the smell of alcohol was on his breath.

The teacher was able to escape the situation by sliding underneath him, and make her to the main doors of one of the school buildings. As two staff members looked on, Bibby grabbed around the waist, hugged her, and rubbed his genitals against her, as well as making sexually explicit statements.

Less than a few weeks after the incident, the teacher confronted Bibby when she saw him standing outside her classroom, and told him that they needed to talk. She told him that he was "out of line," and sexually abused her. Bibby said he had been drinking that day, and wanted to take her out on a date. After being told that she wasn't interested, Bibby asked if she was going to "tell" anyone. The teacher said she wouldn't because she was thinking of his players.
