Channing Frye Signs With the Cleveland Cavaliers: 'Well I Guess This Is Hello Again'

After being traded to the Lakers in February, Channing Frye is rejoining his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. He and his teammate Kevin Love celebrated the news on Instagram.

Channing Frye is officially back with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The star signed a one-year, $2.4 million deal with the Cavs, reports ESPN.

Frye posted a photo of himself in a Cavaliers uniform on Instagram on Saturday and captioned it, "Well I guess this is hello again."

Frye was traded to the Lakers just this February, along with Isaiah Thomas, after three seasons with the Cavs between 2016 and 2018. During the first season, he won a championship, the Associated Press reports. He also spent his first run with the Cavs co-hosting the Road Trippin’ podcast with his teammate Richard Jefferson, according to Cavaliers Nation. In total, he's played for six NBA teams.

The rest of the Cavaliers were excited to be reunited with their former teammate. Kevin Love celebrated by posting a meme based on a Sports Illustrated cover announcing Frye's initial decision to join the Cavs, Cavaliers Nation reports. "Kevin Love's BFF and NBA champ explains why he is returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers," it reads.
