Nick Young showed up for Golden State in Game 1. The Warriors pulled away from the Rockets, 119-106, in the fourth quarter to take a 1-0 lead—but they got an important contribution early in the game from Young.

Young finished with nine points, all of which he scored in the first half, his highest total of the playoffs. He shot 3 for 5 from three-point range. Swaggy P played 15 minutes, his second-most action thus far in the postseason.

Young was averaging only 1.9 points in 7.9 minutes per game in the playoffs. So, why did he break out in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals? It may be because his coach, Steve Kerr, visited him in a dream Sunday night. Swaggy said Kerr told him to "stay ready."

Of course, @NickSwagyPYoung (three first-half threes) said he had a dream last night that Steve Kerr told him to stay ready: “in the dream, I said, ‘Steve, is that you?’” I wonder what time it is in Swagy’s world.

You know it's going to be a good night for the Warriors when Young is knocking down jumpers.

Nick Young is like that .138 hitter in baseball who just happens to crush your ace in the playoffs. And in this case the ace is the Rockets. #Warriors
Nick Young podium game is needed
I am very happy that I lived long enough to see Nick Young in the conference finals.
Nick Young scored 33 points in the first half!

OK. Maybe it was just 9. But still

We'll see if Kerr plays Young more minutes again in Game 2, which will take place Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST in Houston. The Rockets will look to avoid a 2-0 hole. Catch that game on TNT.
