Glen "Big Baby" Davis, who played eight seasons in the NBA and retired in 2015, has been named a person of interest in a case that involved a man being badly beaten in a parking lot. TMZ Sports reported the story.
Here's how it reportedly went down: Davis was driving erratically in the parking lot of Factory nightclub in West Hollywood Sunday evening, and he came close to striking a man with his car. The victim then attempted to confront Davis, but Davis got out of his car, and a fight ensued.
Davis reportedly threw the man to the ground before fleeing the scene. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for a broken tooth and fractures on his face and ribs.
Davis reportedly has not been formally charged with a crime—at this point, he's merely a person of interest.
This isn't the first time the former LSU Tiger has found himself in trouble recently. Davis was arrested on drug charges in March. He could face up to seven counts of drug possession and distribution.
Davis, 32, was a 6-foot-9, 290-pound forward. The Seattle SuperSonics selected him in the second round of the 2007 draft (No. 35 overall), but quickly traded him to the Boston Celtics. He spent four years in Boston and won a ring with Boston's Big Three in 2008. Davis then spent three years with the Magic and one with the Clippers before retiring in 2015.
He announced in Nov. 2016 that he planned to enter the world of film production.
