On Thursday, video of Colin Kaepernick tossing the football was posted onto Instagram by his trainer, Josh Hidalgo, giving confirmation to support what most fans probably already assumed; that he still aspires to quarterback an NFL team.

Most of the chatter around him over the past year-plus since he became a free agent had been about his charitable work or his collusion grievance against the league over the pretty apparent blackballing of his services. Still, there has been very little info regarding actual football.

Hidalgo captioned his post with the following comment:

I've been training @kaepernick7 everyday and to say he's dedicated is an understatement. Each day we hit the gym and put in work! We haven't stopped throwing, training and preparing since January of 2017. Even when we’re traveling we put in that work #nevertired 💪🏽 #imwithkap

Also captured was footage of Kaepernick getting in a workout in the weight room:

Back in May 2017, Hidalgo told Sports Illustrated's Peter King: "Colin has been there since January, training with me five days a week. We have been getting ready for football as if he was a starting quarterback for an NFL team. When I read that people don't know if Colin wants to play football … this guy's been doing it five hours a day, five days a week like he has a starting NFL job. And we don't take days off."

Long shot or not, he's still putting the work in.
