Everyone should be constantly hugging all the time, especially in sports, so kudos to Fairfield Stags senior guard Tyler Nelson and team coach Sydney Johnson.

During the final moments of a game against the Iona Gaels Monday, Johnson and Nelson hugged out the realization that they wouldn't be cruising on to the NCAA Tournament. According toCBS News, Johnson and Nelson have become "undeniably" close friends over the past four years.

Many agreed with the above tweet's awesomeness designation, as seen below:

This is what college basketball is and should be all about. These head coaches are true role models and father figures to their players.

This is why college basketball is so much better than the Pros! You don’t get that kind of emotion!! #collegebasketballrules

For those down with stats, you already know that Nelson enjoyed a 22.1 per-game point average this year. That average was enough to give him both the lead in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and the distinction of being Fairfield's all-time leading scorer. Last month, as Sports Illustratedpoints out, Nelson surpassed Tony George's record.

Anyway, go hug somebody.
