Scary Video Captures Every Concussion NFL Players Suffered This Season

A video compilation shows every concussion that took place during the 2017-18 NFL season.

Concussions are a real issue in football; people have been aware of it for years. Will Smith starred in the 2015 movie Concussion, which documented Dr. Bennet Omalu's discovery of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), and his attempts to educate the world about how athletes' brains could be affected by playing football.

Concussion awareness reached a new level in 2017, as a study revealed 110 of 111 former NFL players whose brains were examined tested positive for CTE. The study implied that if you play in the NFL, your brain will be affected in the long run—as your life will be drastically changed when you step away from the game.

With this awareness in mind, football fans cringed every time they saw a concussion this season, which seemed to occur multiple times in each game. A new video compilation has put together every known concussion that occurred on the field in 2017-18. Watch the harrowing compilation below.

Among the players featured in the video are Ravens wide receiver Mike Wallace, Chiefs receiver/return specialist Tyreek Hill, Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor, and Raiders receiver Amari Cooper.

Ravens tight end Benjamin Watson, who appeared in the video, had a sobering response to the clip.

I assure you. This isn’t even half of the concussions in the NFL this year.

The video plays the hits in slow motion, in reverse, until going through the hits in hyper-speed at the 4:37 mark.

The NFL's concussion protocol will be under fans' microscope as the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles compete in the Super Bowl on Sunday.
