Those Rumors About Rob Gronkowski Signing With WWE Are Growing Louder

It sounds like it's only a matter of time before Rob Gronkowski is a professional wrestler.

Is Rob Gronkowski’s NFL career on the brink of being over?

Gronk himself is still keeping quiet with regards to what his future holds. But after the Patriots lost to the Eagles in Super Bowl LII, the New England tight end seemed to admit he had a lot to think about this offseason.

"I’m definitely gonna look at my future," he said. "We’ll sit down in the next couple of weeks and see where I’m at."

Some people have speculated about how Gronk could end up becoming an actor. A report that came out right after the Super Bowl indicated The Rock and Sylvester Stallone have both been pushing Gronk towards Hollywood.

Other people have speculated about how Gronk could end up becoming a professional wrestler. He’s played a part in WWE events in the past, and his good friend Mojo Rawley revealed it’s "not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when" as far as Gronk joining the WWE is concerned.

And it appears as though those wrestling rumors are growing louder by the day. In his most recent Wrestling Observer newsletter, pro wrestling insider Dave Metzler reported the WWE is actively trying to sign Gronk to a contract. He wrote about how the WWE "is willing to offer a similar style deal to Gronkowski that they offered to Ronda Rousey." And while he wasn’t able to say whether or not Gronk is considering the offer, this latest wrinkle in the story is proof that the Gronk-to-the-WWE storyline isn’t going to fade away anytime soon.

For now, Gronk isn’t saying much about his future. But even if he does decide to return to the NFL for another season, it’s starting to sound more and more like his football career could be coming to a close in the coming years.
