Look out, world. The US Olympic ski and snowboard team is dressed better than you.
The Winter Olympics have officially begun in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and the US Olympics ski and snowboard team have unveiled some seriously epic Marvel-inspired suits. Whether your excitement reaches Leslie Jones-style hype or instead matches the I-don't-really-care attitude of Mike Pence, these outfits are a must see.
On Friday, the ski and snowboard team showed off the look designed by retired alpine ski racer and Olympic gold medalist Julia Mancuso. The men's and women's teams are sporting looks that resemble the attire of Captain America and Captain Marvel. Unsurprisingly, social media is having some pretty strong and enthusiastic responses to these comic book-inspired designs.
The suits are from a collaboration of Spyder and Marvel, the US ski team’s official supplier. Spyder announced a two-year partnership with Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media on Thursday, specifically to make superhero-themed performance products. The suits, however, officially debuted last February at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
