Let's calm down about all the talk surrounding Team LeBron vs. Team Curry in this year's All-Star Game and talk about the competitors in the Slam Dunk, 3-Point Shootout, and Skills Challenge for All-Star Weekend.
Last year's Taco Bell Skills Challenge champion Kristaps Porzingis will look to defend his crown against an eight-person field consisting of big men and guards. The group will feature agile bigs, such as the 76ers' Joel Embiid, the Celtics' Al Horford, and Bulls rookie Lauri Markkanen, squaring off against talented guards like Utah's Donovan Mitchell, the Nuggets' Jamal Murray, and more.
Check out the list below to see all the participants.
- Kristaps Porzingis, New York Knicks
- Spencer Dinwiddie, Brooklyn Nets
- Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers
- Al Horford, Boston Celtics
- Lauri Markkanen, Chicago Bulls
- Donovan Mitchell, Utah Jazz
- Jamal Murray, Denver Nuggets

The JBL Three-Point Contest will pit last year's champion Eric Gordon against a field led by the 2016 champ Klay Thompson. The rest of the field includes Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, Wayne Ellington, Paul George, Tobias Harris, and Kyle Lowry.
The field is wide open for this year's Verizon Slam Dunk. Aaron Gordon of the Orlando Magic returns to the competition hoping that a third time is the charm. Victor Oladipo comes back to the contest after a two-year hiatus and hopes to become the second consecutive Indiana Pacers player to the win the event. Larry Nance Jr. will look to follow in the shoes of his father Larry Nance, who won the inaugural Slam Dunk. Dallas Mavericks rookie guard Dennis Smith Jr. is bringing his impressive vertical to the field, and could very well be the dark horse in the competition.
