LeBron James surprised us with a new pair of timely kicks just before the NBA All-Star Game.

The custom Air Force 1 design reads "More Than An Athlete" on the side.

On Friday, James posted a photo on Instagram, stressing "I AM MORE THAN AN ATHLETE." The post's caption, #wewillnotshutupanddribble, references Fox News host Laura Ingraham's racist "shut up and dribble" comment.

The comment was also aimed at fellow player Kevin Durant, because the two didn't hold back on their criticisms of President Trump. According to USA Today, LeBron—who previously called Trump a bum—called out the "so-called president" for not caring about the American people and their interests.

"The number-one job in America, the appointed person is someone who doesn't understand the people," LeBron explained during an an appearance on UNINTERRUPTED, a multi-media platform he co-founded. "And really don't give a fuck about the people."

Take it from LeBron: anyone wearing these new sneakers will not shut up and dribble.
