Following the Patriots' Super Bowl LII loss, model and Tom Brady's wife Gisele Bündchen comforted the couple's 8-year-old son, Benjamin, as well as their 5-year-old daughter, Vivian, which seems like a normal thing a mom would do.

Bündchen's conversation was relayed by USA Today, who reports that she told the kids that the Eagles "haven’t won in a million years." At some point her daughter said "The Eagles won the Super Bowl," to which Bundchen said "Just this time. Daddy won five times. They never won before. Their whole life, they never won a Super Bowl. You have to let someone else win sometimes." She further added "Sometimes you have to let other people win. …We have to share. Sharing is caring."

And though I'm skeptical about the amount of outrage Bündchen's comments actually caused (though it did provide fodder for at least one blowhard) she did feel it necessary to clarify them Wednesday on Twitter:

Just to be clear. No one “let” anyone win. People win because of their own merit. Tired of people twisting my words to create drama that doesn’t exist!

Bündchen's clarification comes just two days after she congratulated the Eagles via a different social media format:
