After just over half a season with the Houston Rockets, Chris Paul is apparently fully embracing Texan culture. Friday, as part of Go Texan Day, CP3 casually strolled into the Toyota Center for the Rockets’ game against the Minnesota Timberwolves decked out in cowboy boots, some absurdly tight jeans, a matching cowboy hat, and the proper belt and shirt to tie it all together.

For the uninitiated, Go Texan Day is a real event that takes place annually on the Friday before the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. That didn’t stop people from offering all manner of savage criticism once they saw CP3’s Walker, Texas Ranger-inspired outfit.

As soon as I saw this video of #ChrisPaul, all I could think about was that episode from #Martin when he dressed up as a cowboy at the radio station: "Marty, you're fired!" 😂😂 pic.twitter.com/VGOVVFXwC1

While fans held target practice in Paul’s mentions, things went way better on the court. The Rockets blew out the T-Wolves 120-102, and Paul flirted with a triple-double by putting up 14 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. The Rockets boast an NBA-best record of 45-13, even when Woody from Toy Story is their point guard.
