Usually I would argue that a sprained ankle isn't really news, but when it's one of Stephen Curry's ankles (which seemed to legitimately threaten his career in his first few NBA seasons) it becomes a bit more of an issue. On Wednesday, the two-time MVP re-injured an ankle that he had most recently dinged up just over a month ago in a game against the Pelicans. Curry—who returned to the lineup on Dec. 30—is said to have suffered the injury after slipping at the end of the Warriors' team shootaround:

Trainer checking Steph Curry out now after a slip toward end of shootaround, as @MontePooleNBCS reported. I didn't see it. Status for tonight unclear.

Sprained right ankle for Steph Curry, suffered at shootaround. Out tonight. Same ankle that he just injured. (Klay Thompson also resting) https://t.co/FjOAe8KBvE

According to the Athletic's Golden State beat writer Anthony Slater, the initial thought is that this most recent injury isn't that serious:

Concern on Steph Curry's latest right ankle sprain isn't that it's serious. It's not. But the fact that it's that same right ankle, again, ticks some mild alarm bells.

If you need a little bit more of an elaboration on it, here are some quotes from the team's GM that should do the trick:

Bob Myers to @957thegame on the Steph Curry ankle
-"I think it was on a pivot or a stepback"
-"Nobody was around him"
-"No plans to do MRI or X-ray"
-"I can't say it's something that's a concern"
-"Don't know how long it goes...telling me it's day-to-day"
-"He's frustrated"

And if you need a lot more elaboration on it (or at least more words), here it also is from the team's GM (though there's not much additional info here):

Concerned, but not quite panicking.
