Well, well, well. Would you look at the time? It's speculation o'clock, on the dot. Let's begin. On Tuesday night, TMZ was doing what they do best: snooping around in alleys and creeping on people of varying degrees of fame. This time, they happened upon WWE bossman Triple H and UFC golden-child-turned-black-sheep Ronda Rousey.

Ronda has been in the dreams of WWE execs for at least a few years now; she had a cameo at WrestleMania 31 in 2015, where she popped up alongside The Rock and body slammed Triple H to raucous cheers. As you can see, there's some real meaningful history here.

But back to Tuesday night. TMZ had the scoop on the pair's secret dinner in L.A., and captured footage afterward of Trip in the backseat of an SUV behind the restaurant. Shortly after, Ronda strolled out with her agent and a very big smile on her face. When asked if the covert meeting meant her much-speculated WWE deal was done, Ronda's agent replied, "We’re just hanging out, catching up in the new year." Ronda herself had a spectacular response: "I really enjoy fine dining."

WWE Chief Brand Officer (and wife of Triple H) Stephanie McMahon was nowhere to be found, but her adoration of Ronda is well documented. "Our fans love Ronda," she told USA Today in December 2016. "Ronda has this cross-platform appeal in terms of all forms of entertainment. We would welcome her with open arms. She is the total package."
