Former Lakers guard Nick Young has not been a major on-court contributor in his first season with the Golden State Warriors—he's averaging career lows of 6.8 points and 14.5 minutes per game—but all indications are that he's bonded with his teammates off the court.
"Nick is doing fine," coach Steve Kerr recently said. "I think he's had some really good games for us. We got a lot of talent. So I don't give him consistent minutes. But he's handled everything very beautifully. He's a great teammate. And I love having him on our team."
Young spent some time with his teammates over the weekend as they celebrated center JaVale McGee's 30th birthday. When you're an NBA player, you have unusual amenities at your birthday party—like a hypnotist. Indeed, a hypnotist was one of the party's entertainment attractions, and he worked his magic on Swaggy P.
After falling prey to the man's sorcery, Young did some wild things, like dancing with and kissing a puppet and impersonating Michael Jackson. Check out video of Young's hypnotized daze below.
McGee sure seemed to be loving it. When the hilarious video started surfacing in articles, Swaggy P addressed it on his Twitter Monday afternoon.
These two teammates, both known for their comedic relief, seem to have hit it off. In December, Swaggy implied they have an album coming out.
McGee is also playing a minor role with Golden State (8.1 minutes per game), but you can bet we'll be seeing these vets in some key moments in the NBA playoffs this spring.
