About a week ago we told you that Kristaps Porzingis was yet another NBA star tired of no-calls by the refs. Now it sounds like he's just plain tired.

Following the Knicks' 121-103 Wednesday night loss to the Wizards, Porzingis made the admission that the team's recent stretch, which has seen them lose six of the last seven games to fall to 10th in the East, has fatigued him. This confession, of course, is a major mistake in a media market like NYC's, where everything you say is dissected to an absurd degree.

"I'm tired; I'm tired; I'm so tired right now," Porzingis said, according to The New York Post. "I have one day to rest my legs and get back and play better and have more energy and try to bring the team's energy up. We're in a tough stretch. The mental part doesn't help at all. When it's mentally tough, you don't have it in you." Hmmm, doubt he'll get the benefit of something being lost in translation.

Porzingis scored just two points in the second half of Wednesday evening's blowout, which itself came on the second night of a back-to-back. According to the 7-foot-3 center, the loss to San Antonio the day before did his body no favors either. "They were all focused [on] what I was doing," he said of Tuesday night's 100-91 loss to the Spurs. "Wherever I went, there was contact, boom, boom, bumping me."

Not shockingly, he told The Post that he's looking forward to Tim Hardaway Jr.'s eventual return from a left leg injury, which will hopefully take pressure of himself and his teammates. Hardaway, the team's second-leading scorer, was injured in late November. He will probably be back by mid-January.

As for the immediate future, on Thursday the Knicks are off before returning to the floor once again Friday evening for a game at Miami. Best of luck in getting the juice back in your legs by then.
