Roger Goodell speaks to the media after the NFL Owners meetings.

Roger Goodell has signed a five-year deal worth $200 million to extend his run as NFL commissioner, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. As long as league owners approve the bonuses and incentives in place, the new deal means Goodell will make $40 million annually, which is $13 million more than Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. That last tidbit of information is enough to drive any NFL fan crazy, and as expected, they took to Twitter to air out their grievances.

What does Roger Goodell do that makes him worthy of a $200 million contract? Serious question

In what world does Roger Goodell deserve a 5 year $200 million contract extension? Do better @nfl

Why does roger goodell make far much more money then the highest paid athlete in the nfl ? When everyone who genuinely enjoys football genuinely wants him gone ???

Is there any other job where you can massively fail your bosses and customers in the manner Roger Goodell has over the last 2 years and not only keep your job but get extended for 5 years + $200 Million dollars? Unbelievable.

It's official: NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is the M.O.A.T. Most Overpaid Of All Time. $200 million? Shameful. Only thing worse, NFL players union can't even secure guaranteed contracts for its membership like ALL other pro leagues. Smh. Obviously, the owners got it.
