Kyrie Irving

On Friday night Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving exited Boston's game against the Hornets in the first quarter after he caught a wicked (and accidental) elbow to the face from teammate Aron Baynes.

While Irving's injury wasn't as gruesome/hard to look at as the graphic one that teammate Gordon Hayward suffered last month, Kyrie still had to be helped to the locker room, and was bleeding from his nosemouth some orifice on his face:

Kyrie's bleeding pretty badly. Can't tell for sure if it's his nose or mouth but looks like his mouth. He's being helped to the locker room.

In addition to losing Hayward for the year, the Celts also had to put Al Horford on the shelf for the time being with a concussion. Now the team's monitoring Irving as he could be in the same boat as Horford:

#NEBHInjuryReport: Kyrie Irving is out for the remainder of tonight’s game against Charlotte due to a blow to the head and he is being monitored for possible concussion symptoms.

Until Kyrie Irving is patched up, the Celtics are currently operating without $76.2 million worth of talent.

Oh, and even without all those guys the Celtics won 90-87. That's like 11 in a row, or something.
