On Wednesday night, 16-year NBA vet Zach Randolph was arrested in Los Angeles for reportedly possessing two pounds of weed, which he was holding in a backpack. The LAPD made the arrest around 10 p.m. after being called to a scene where a large crowd of people were "smoking, playing loud music and blocking the roadway."

TMZ reports three people at the gathering grabbed their waistbands and took off when the police arrived leading cops to go after them. As you likely guessed, Randolph was one of those three people.

That trio was ultimately detained, and the 36-year-old NBAer was charged with marijuana possession and intent to sell, which is a felony. That "intent" charge was based upon the massive quantity of pot that Randolph had on himself at the time of the arrest.

Additionally, TMZ reports that the crowd became unruly after the men were arrested, and six cop cars were vandalized by having their windows broken and tires slashed. Bail was set at $20,000 for Randolph, and it was posted by... someone (him, maybe?) on Thursday morning.

Randolph has previously played for the Trail Blazers, Knicks, Clippers, and Grizzlies. Last month, he signed a two-year deal worth $24 million with the Sacramento Kings.
