No pressure or anything, Tristan Thompson, but Khloé Kardashian is ready to marry you. During a recent interview with Evening Standard, she revealed that, if the Cavaliers star popped the question to her right now, she would say yes. And while that shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to him—Khloé has been very open about wanting to start a family with Thompson—it does put him on the clock. Once your girlfriend is telling other people about how she wants to marry you, you’re already running way behind.
As if that wasn’t enough of a reason for Thompson to feel like he’s suddenly under the gun, he’s got a couple other things working against him right now, too. One is that Lamar Odom moved much quicker than he’s moving right now when he first started dating Khloé. Khloé and Lamar met at a party in August 2009, and within just one month, they had already tied the knot. We could argue that their rush to the altar may have been a mistake, especially when you consider how their marriage turned out, but Lamar didn’t even give Khloé enough time to do interviews about how she wanted to marry him one day. By the time people knew they were getting serious, they were exchanging their vows.
The other thing Thompson has going against him at the moment is the engagement rumor mill that has surrounded him and Khloé in recent months. He’s only been dating Khloé since sometime during the summer of 2016, but there have been so many engagement rumors that have popped up out of nowhere since then. It’s really ruined the element of surprise for him, and when he does eventually get around to getting down on one knee, Khloé is going to say yes—right after she asks, "What took so long?"
With all the talk about Khloé and Tristan’s potential engagement fresh on our minds thanks to Khloé’s recent comments about it, we decided to take a look back at some of those rumors. There have been so many that we're not going to be able to believe they're engaged when it's actually true.
The Ring

Why everyone thought they were engaged: Khloé was spotted sporting a giant diamond ring on her left ring finger.
Why we shouldn’t have believed it: Outside of the fact that they had just started to go public with their relationship, Khloé was still technically married to Odom at this time. But the paparazzi really started to pay extra close attention to Khloé’s ring finger after this story took off.
The Televised Wedding

Why everyone thought they were engaged: A report surfaced about how Khloé and Thompson were going to get married and put it on TV.
Why we shouldn’t have believed it: An NBA player marrying a Kardashian during a televised wedding has a 0.0 percent success rate. Why would Thompson ever agree to it?
The Ring II
Date: 12/13/2016
Why everyone thought they were engaged: Khloé was once again spotted sporting a big ring on her left ring finger.
Why we shouldn’t have believed it: If Khloé and Thompson get engaged, do you really think she’s going to announce it by casually posting a photo of her hand to Snapchat? No. And yet, this wouldn’t be the last time people would fall for a rumor involving a ring.
The $2 Million Wedding
Date: 2/15/2017
Why everyone thought they were engaged: A report came out about how Khloé and Thompson were planning a "huge, extravagant" fall wedding that was, again, going to be televised.
Why we shouldn’t have believed it: That 0.0 percent success rate for televised Kardashian weddings thing still exists. So even if the tabloids keep running with the idea, you probably shouldn’t buy into the hype.
The Ring III
Date: 3/14/2017
Why everyone thought they were engaged: Most recently, Khloé showed up with yet another diamond ring on her left ring finger (it begs the question: Do all of Khloé’s rings look like engagement rings?!).
Why we shouldn’t have believed it: Are we really going to keep falling for the ring thing? Considering Khloé feels comfortable enough talking about what she would say if Thompson proposed, we don’t think she’ll have an issue just telling us when it actually happens.
