Lamar Odom has spoken publicly a couple times since checking out of rehab earlier this year. On one occasion, he did a very short interview with TMZ Sports and referred to the treatment he received in rehab as "awesome" and "life-changing." On another, he sat down for an interview on The Doctors and talked about how he was in "a dark place" prior to his near-death experience at a brothel in October 2015.

But on Wednesday, Us Weeklypublished the most brutally honest interview Odom has done since he overdosed at the brothel and suffered 12 strokes and two heart attacks. In it, he spoke in great detail about what led up to the overdose incident and what he has done to try and turn his life around over the course of the last 18 months.

Odom started things off by talking about how his ex-wife Khloé Kardashian first caught him using cocaine in the man cave that he had inside of the couple’s home. He said she was "disappointed" about it at the time, but he said it didn’t stop him from using the drug. He stopped short of saying that she accepted it, but he did say that she learned to tolerate it over time.

Odom then spoke about what it was like to share his marriage with the world on reality TV. He talked about how it opened up a lot of opportunities for him and Khloé, but he also said that it led to him cheating on her on multiple occasions. Women, it seems, were more drawn to him after they started to see him on their TV screens every week.

"Bitches and THOTs came out of the woodwork," he said. "If there is one thing I regret when I was married, it was having multiple affairs with different women. That wasn’t the stand-up thing to do. I wish I could have kept my d*ck in my pants."

Odom also touched on how his drug use spiraled out of control in late 2013 after Khloé filed for divorce. He said he stopped working on his marriage, training for the NBA, and doing anything other than using cocaine. It eventually led to that fateful night in late 2015. He opened up about what happened in the hours leading up to his overdose and claimed he doesn't remember using any drugs that night.

"I was home by myself," he said. "Bored. I wanted to get out and have a good time. Looking back, I might have had a drink to get the mood started, but was I drunk or on drugs? Not at all. I remember lying in bed. Two women were in bed and then I fell asleep. That’s all. When I woke up four days later, I was trying to pull the tubes out of my mouth."

Elsewhere in the interview, Odom spoke on the role Khloé played in helping him regain his memory, what made him go to rehab at the end of 2016, and the change he sees in himself now that he’s sober. You can go here to read the rest of Odom’s Us Weekly interview.
