The Sacramento Kings are an absolute mess. First, Rudy Gay informed the organization that he will opt out of the final year of his contract next summer, and "likely" sign elsewhere. Then, Matt Barnes and DeMarcus Cousins continue to drum up controversy on a weekly basis. Now, Arron Afflalo is so upset over his diminished role that he refused to go into a game, according to Carmichael Dave of KHTK Sports 1140.
Following back-to-back contests where he didn't play a single minute, Afflalo was subbed into the Kings' game against the Utah Jazz at the 3:36 mark in the 4th quarter, and took an incredibly long time to come onto the court. As you can see in the video below, his teammate, Anthony Tolliver, came in well before Arron, who casually sauntered into the game.
"Blowing it up" is an overused phrase when it comes to overhauling a franchise, but for the Kings, that's exactly what they may need to do.
