Stan Van Gundy is no stranger to expressing his opinion. In the past, he has lashed out on various topics ranging from the Cavaliers' firing of David Blatt to his dislike for NBA "dictator" David Stern. If SVG has something on his mind, he will share it, and he proved that once again early Wednesday while speaking with reporters prior to the Pistons' game against the Suns.

Without being prompted, SVG told reporters that his team seemed quiet and uninterested in basketball during a bus ride from their hotel to the Talking Stick Resort Arena for shootaround this morning. Initially, he thought it was because they were still upset about getting blown out by the Clippers earlier this week. But eventually, center Aron Baynes told him it was actually because the team was bummed about Donald Trump winning the 2016 presidential election. And that caused SVG to go off. He blasted Trump, Trump supporters, people in Arizona who may have voted for Trump, and, well, everything about the entire Trump campaign. He went on and on (and on and on and on) for about six minutes and sounded really passionate about his displeasure with the direction of this country.

It's hard to pick out just one part of this, so here's a full transcript of what SVG said, courtesy of the Detroit Free Press. The entire thing is worth reading:

"I didn’t vote for [George W.] Bush, but he was a good, honorable man with whom I had political differences, so I didn’t vote for him. But for our country to be where we are now, who took a guy who—I don’t care what anyone says, I’m sure they have other reasons and maybe good reasons for voting for Donald Trump—but I don’t think anybody can deny this guy is openly and brazenly racist and misogynistic and ethnic-centric, and say, 'That’s OK with us, we’re going to vote for him anyway.'

SVG will probably catch some heat for this, but it's hard to knock him for being 100 percent honest as usual.
