LeBron James is a father of three, so there’s a good chance that "Pick up your dirty clothes!" is a phrase that he’s all too familiar with. But as it turns out, he doesn’t just use that phrase at home anymore—he also has to take it to work with him now.

According to Cavaliers beat writer Joe Vardon, LeBron was not happy with the condition of the Cavaliers’ locker room following a 108-105 preseason win over the 76ers on Saturday night. He was one of the last players to leave the locker room after the game, and that was due in large part to the fact that he had to pick up five or six laundry bags that were thrown all over the locker room and give them to a locker room attendant. Technically, picking up laundry isn’t in LeBron’s job description, but as Vardon explained, he’s made a habit out of keeping the Cavaliers’ communal space clean and he expects all of his teammates to do the same.

"Hopefully I only have to say something once," LeBron told Vardon, sounding exactly like a dad. "Can’t leave the locker room like that."

We knew LeBron was going to have to spend most of this NBA season motivating his teammates and cautioning them against getting too comfortable as the defending NBA champions. But what we didn’t know was that his motivation was going to start with telling them to clean up after themselves in the locker room. Pick up your dirty clothes, fellas! Or else…
