Minnesota defensive end Tai’yon Devers is playing in just the third game of his college football career on Saturday, but we think it’s safe to say that the freshman has already made a name for himself as one of the hardest hitters in the country. In his first game against Oregon State, he nearly decapitated quarterback Darell Garretson with this debilitating hit:

Don't know about you, but my body hurts after watching this Tai'yon Devers hit. https://t.co/IVzmsMmEOs

And during the first half of Minnesota’s game against Colorado State this afternoon, he took things a step further by hitting CSU QB Collin Hill so hard that he sent both the football and Hill’s helmet flying across the field. You can check out the incredible hit in the clip above and watch another angle of it here:

It didn’t take long for someone out there to give the hit the Jim Ross treatment:

Oh ... My ... God ... Devers!!!! That's a thing that happened. You don't get a shot at a QB like that very often. Goodness!

And of course, Twitter went crazy after Devers destroyed Hill:

If this guy has already done all this through three games, can you imagine what else he might have in store for us? Yikes.
