During a Summer Sixteen Tour stop at Oracle Arena on Tuesday night, Drake brought Kevin Durant on stage with him for a few moments and got a huge pop from the crowd for doing it. On Wednesday night, Drake was back at Oracle for a second show, and once again, he decided to play to the hometown crowd by bringing out not one but two Warriors players in the middle of the show. Drake invited Steph Curry and Draymond Green, two guys heās name-dropped on songs in the past, on to the Summer Sixteen stage and asked them if he had their permission to steal the spotlight at Oracle since itās technically their building.
"I just wanted to, like, make sure that I was allowed to stay in here and perform," Drake said, "because I know this is, like, yāall building, soā¦You gave me the co-sign?"
Steph and Draymond obviously got a lot of love from the Oracle crowd, but Drake wasnāt done with the surprises. After bringing the two players on stage, he also brought Too $hort out to perform "Blow the Whistle" as Drake, Steph, and Draymond looked on.
Twitter lit up with people praising Drake for making the moment happen:
