Steph Curry and Kevin Durant haven’t played a single game together yet as Warriors teammates. So are we really already considering what might happen if—if!—they don’t get along once they start taking the court together on a regular basis?

Apparently, yes. There has been absolutely no indication that the KD experiment in Golden State won’t work yet. Curry, KD, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green are still saying all the right things and talking about how great it will be to play together next season. But Curry can become a free agent next summer, so there’s already some speculation about what might happen if Curry and KD find that they can’t coexist. Bleacher Report reporter Ric Bucher spoke with a source who works for an NBA title contender and that source told him that his team is already preparing to "poach" Curry from the Warriors if he isn’t happy after the 2016-17 NBA season.

A contender is planning to poach Steph Curry from Dubs if chemistry with Durant turns 'poisonous', per @RicBucherhttps://t.co/H6FVCQ4wmV

"There are 29 teams hoping the chemistry between Kevin Durant and Steph Curry is poisonous," Bucher said late Wednesday. "But there is one team that is planning for it. I’ve been told by one of the league’s title contenders that they hope to poach Curry. They see KD taking the last-minute shots that were once Curry’s domain. Their pitch will be, 'Come to us and you can be the man once more.'"

If you’re thinking, "That sounds crazy," right now, that’s because it is. KD hasn’t even been with the Warriors for a month yet, and we’re already talking about what might happen if he doesn’t get along with Curry? But it’s the middle of the summer and there’s not much else going on in the NBA world right now, so people are going to speculate. But we wouldn’t even expect Curry or KD to respond to this latest report.
