It might not always seem like it, but Gilbert Arenas and Nick Young are actually good friends. Yes, Gilbert broke into Nick’s house recently and recorded him on Snapchat while simultaneously peppering Nick with questions about Iggy Azalea and tormenting his son. And yes, Nick got "even" with him by taking a photo with Gilbert’s ex Laura Govan and posting it on Instagram. But somehow, those things haven’t ruined their friendship. If anything, they’ve seemingly solidified it.

Despite that, the ESPN show Pardon the Interruption devoted a portion of a segment to Gilbert and Nick’s "beef" on Monday. During "Mail Time," Pablo S. Torre and Tony Kornheiser debated whether or not the pair’s rift is "worthy of our attention." You can listen to their debate at the 16:25 mark here:

We’ve also transcribed the brief conversation about the "beef" below. It sounds like the attention these two have received infuriates Kornheiser in particular to no end:

Pablo S. Torre: Gilbert Arenas has broken into Nick Young’s house on Snapchat, terrorized his children, thrown a scooter across the lawn of his house. And now, Nick Young, in retaliation, has posted a Snapchat of him and Gilbert Arenas’ ex, and this is funny if it were not entirely possible that this could end gruesomely.

Tony Kornheiser: With Gilbert Arenas, yes! Mr. Guns in the Locker Room, Gilbert Arenas.

PST: I want to embrace the whimsy, but I also know that this is something that could go very, very wrong.

TK: I’m on the record many times on this show of hating Gilbert Arenas, because he single-handedly ruined the Washington Wizards franchise with his gun show. The Swagster is not a favorite of mine, either. But in this particular case, Gilbert Arenas trespassed in this guy’s house, painted one of his walls…

PST: Over Iggy Azalea’s name, yes.

TK: I’m telling you that Nick Young should have called the police immediately on him. If I were Judge Judy, I would take both of them, I would put them on a pontoon boat, and I would deport them. I would push them out to sea from California. Pushed out to sea!

PST: A fun side note, by the way: Laura Govan, the girlfriend that Nick Young posted, is the sister of Gloria Govan of Derek Fisher/Matt Barnes fame. Basketball Wives, Tony, you have to get in on this.

The segment was likely the product of it being the dead of summer, when there isn’t much else to talk about in the sports world. But as luck would have it, Gilbert ended up catching the segment—or at least catching wind of it—and he responded to it with the type of savagery that Gilbert is now known for on Instagram. He first explained that he doesn’t have "beef" with Young, and somehow, that then led to him telling an incredibly NSFW story about one of the only arguments he’s ever had with Nick. The story Gilbert told involved a stripper in Miami, their former teammate Andray Blatche, and, well, let’s just say we weren’t kidding about it being "incredibly NSFW." Yiiiiikes:

Just in case Gilbert deletes the post (which he almost always does), here’s the caption he included:

Does this say (BEEF)? I'm sorry but not all black people fight lmaoo I mean we did get in an argument once in Miami over who was gonna fuck that stripper from KOD's first lmaoooo we solved that with a quick #RockPaperScissors and @swaggyp1 went 3rd...some how @draylive came in second and that nigha wasn't even invited hahahaha #thegoodoledays #NickGotBullied #WizNation

Sharing is caring, Gil, but you probably should have kept this story to yourself. At any rate, how long is it going to be before Gilbert & Nick is a reality show?
