When it comes to Michael Oher, there are three things guaranteed in life: death, taxes, and consistent reminders of The Blind Side. On Friday, Oher signed a three-year extension worth $21.6 million with the Carolina Panthers and his teammates on the offensive line—Ryan Kalil, Mike Remmers, Trai Turner—acknowledged the occasion by tweeting out GIFs from the 2009 semi-biographical film about his life.

Oher isn't a particularly big fan of the movie. He doesn't like the way he's depicted early in the film, as a football neophyte. He doesn't like the impressions people form about him, based on the movie, before they get to know the real him.

During mini-camp last year, Oher admitted that he doesn't like the movie and how he's portrayed.

@ryankalil 😂😂😂😂😂 that's why I love you guys!!

Unfortunately, Remmers is such a huge fan of the film (and Oher) that he wears No. 74 because it's the number that Oher wore as a member of the Baltimore Ravens. When Michael signed with the Panthers last year, he tried to acquire the jersey number from Remmers, but was denied. "I tried to get it," he said. "He said that's his favorite movie."

Now, it looks like Oher is willing to take the jokes in stride.

Of course, a lucrative contract extension can always do the trick.
