Update:

Lesnar will indeed fight at UFC 200 on July 9 against a yet to be announced opponent. The WWE claims that his re-entrance into the UFC will be "a one-off opportunity," and that he'll be back in the WWE to participate in SummerSlam on August 21.

Could "The Pain" be coming back to UFC? It looks as such for now.

According to MMA Fighting, the former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is reportedly finalizing a deal to stage his comeback MMA fight at UFC 200 in Las Vegas on July 9. If Lesnar re-enters the octagon, it would be a direct contrast to his contract he signed with WWE in March 2015, which officially ended his relationship with UFC.

The last time Lesnar competed in an MMA fight was against Alistair Overeem at UFC 141 in the MGM Grand Garden event center on Dec. 20, 2011. Shortly thereafter losing that heavyweight bout, Lesnar announced his retirement from MMA due to his health struggles with diverticulitis.

Since then, he returned to WWE where he began his career as one of the league's superstar wrestlers during the 2000s.
